If you didn’t already know Manchester is where it’s at for everything from community spirit to music and the arts. The whole city has so much to offer but I have to say, the Northern Quarter is one of my favourite areas.

It's really difficult to write a guide to the Northern Quarter purely for the fact that there is SO MUCH to see and do. As someone who has being exploring the NQ for several years I still feel like I have only seen the tip of the iceberg! However, I still intend to tell you about this truly awesome area as I believe it's somewhere that everyone should get to see, especially if your local to Manchester. Plus I have a list of wonderful places that I love to go on about to anyone that will listen!

Whether your looking to spend a crazy Saturday night or a chilled Sunday afternoon there, there's something for everyone in Manchester's NQ. Here's my guide of places to go.

Every girl needs a little black dress. I don’t know about you but my little black dress looks 100 times better when I wear it with Spanx. So much so that it doesn’t feel right without them! They smooth everything out and allow my dress, and my body, to look the best it can possibly look, and why wouldn’t I want my killer outfit to reach its full potential?

Well what if your mascara was like a little black dress. It might look amazing on its own but is it reaching its full potential? Or does it need a pair of Spanx? 

Festivals are my happy place! I love everything about them, the music, the food, the fact that your most likely going to finish the weekend with at least a couple of new friends. But I am one of those girls who panics if I don’t have my whole bedroom with me 24/7, so one thing I don’t love so much is travelling light! It’s really difficult to narrow down the items you want to take to a festival (at my first one my suitcase wouldn’t fit in the tent!) but with a few festivals under my belt I think I have mastered it. Here’s what’s going in my bag this festival season.

After a successful Ireland launch of our eyelash saviours (our CODE FFL forget fake lashes, our pre mascara lash plumper and our CODE VLM volumising lengthening mascara) We were excited to hold the Irish launch of our two life changing #lipheroes! The event was held at the lovely Conrad Dublin hotel (in the Presidential Suite we might add), and we must admit it had us feeling pretty fancy.

So far 2016 has definitely been a year of inspiration and innovation for both beauty and fitness. More than ever we are spurred on by Insta stars, Olympians and bloggers as social media allows us sneak peaks of BTS action and super accessible tips and tricks. With all this exposure to women world wide girl-bossing their way through tough workouts and hectic schedules, there's also the matter of the rest of us having internal meltdown's because that level of productivity and endless energy (all the while looking oh so fresh faced) just isn't quite as achievable as the press says it is. So, less of the unrealistic schedules and unattainable goals, here's my take on how to keep your confidence high and endorphins' buzzing in the most stylish way. 

Gone are the days of heavy, thick, false lashes weighing down your eyes, falling off at the corners and being so damn fiddley to apply. Natural is back and we are welcoming it with open arms. It’s time embrace your natural lashes and learn how to make them look their best. 

There’s nothing worse than looking back at photographs and seeing horrible, damaged, bald lashes from years of falsies, bad mascara and useless makeup removers. You might think the damage is done and that you have to carry on applying false lashes every day, or caking your mascara on to cover it up. But fear not, CODE has some of the best beauty hacks to make your eyelashes look as fabulous as you deserve… 

They’re unachievably gorgeous, flawless and perfect… But even our favourite celebrities have a good makeup fail every now and then.
