It’s summer, so whether we are lucky enough to be going away or not holidays are definitely on our minds. We like to spend a lot of time day dreaming about wonderful locations to visit so we thought we would share our top 5 dream holiday destinations with you. If you have a bucket list location you think we should add to this list, please let us know!
California
California has such a wide variety of things to do and see, you wouldn’t even be able to cover a fraction of it in one trip. It’s this diversity that makes it the state we would most love to visit. The two main cities, San Francisco and Los Angeles are of course must have places to visit, especially if you want to feel like a celebrity but there’s a lot to be said for the state’s countryside as well, (head to Yosemite National Park for stunning views) and of course the beaches, take a road trip down pacific coast highway for one of the most beautiful drives in the world. There’s also an awesome music scene, Coachella festival is 100% on our bucket list.
Tokyo
Our brand was inspired by Tokyo Chic. One of Tokyo’s main appeals has to be the style, it’s such an exciting place to be if you’re a fashion lover. The creative and vibrant youth fashion in the Harajuku district will ensure you see some amazingly fun outfits, including cosplay if that’s your thing. The older generation is also seriously fashion conscious, generally people make a real effort to look immaculately well dressed. Naturally this means it’s a great place to buy clothes and shopping is general is great here, you will find cutting edge tech gadgets and adorable gifts you won’t get anywhere else. If you’re lucky enough to go to Tokyo, also make an effort to visit the Skinjuku Gyoen national garden, where over 1,500 cherry trees bloom each spring.
And then there is Seoul...
The capital of South Korea, new cool where modern meets Buddhist temples and street markets. Our founder, Sarah, visited here for inspiration and its definitely a fave on our list.
Sydney
Visiting Sydney might be a better option in winter as that’s when you will get the truly hot weather and it’s supposed to be one of the best places to celebrate New Year’s Eve. However, if you don’t like the heat and prefer a milder climate in summer (that’s British summertime) it will be cool without being cold. If you love the sea Sydney is a must visit, Bondi beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world and the surf culture in Sydney is fantastic. Dining near Sydney harbour is a must do for fresh produce and beautiful views such as the Sydney Opera house, in fact the architecture throughout the city is pretty fantastic.
Berlin
If you love to party then Berlin is the place to go. It has arguably the best night life in Europe (and is up there worldwide too) especially if you’re a big fan of electronic dance music, Berlin is the techno capital of the world. If you’re really brave, see if you can get into the super exclusive Berghain nightclub. The city also boasts some great bars with no real closing time so you can party for as long as you like. Aside from the nightlife, the city has a rich history (particularly if you’re interested in WW2) with some amazing museums. It’s also a fab place to see some really cool street art and taste some delicious vegan food.
Maldives
We had to include one paradise destination on this list and where’s better than the Maldives, the stunningly beautiful place often seen on laptop screensaver’s. The Maldives has some of the most beautiful sandy beaches and amazing sunset’s in the world and it’s the perfect place to go for a relaxing trip with it’s great selection of renowned spa’s. If it didn’t already have enough Instagram opportunities the Maldives is home to the world’s first underwater restaurant at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort. If you’re an animal lover it’s a great location too, you can visit the shark sanctuary and go dolphin spotting, look out for the adorable spinner dolphin’s.
