How to prioritise yourself in 2024

If you are anything like me, you have ended up trying to keep everyone else happy and putting yourself last! In 2023 I made some big shifts in my personal life and one of them was to prioritise myself – at the end of the day if your cup isn’t full how can you support the people around you that mean the most to you? So today as part of my January tips to feel naturally vibrant every day, I thought I'd share with you how to prioritise yourself and not to feel guilty about it! 
 

How to prioritise yourself in 2024. 

In 2024, amidst the chaos of everyday life, it is more important than ever to prioritise yourself.  With the constant demands of work, family, and social pressures, it can be easy to neglect the most important person in your life – YOU!  

In this fast-paced world, it is essential to carve out time for self-care and personal well-being. This nearly always involves setting boundaries, confidently saying NO to commitments that do not serve you (without any guilt or elaborate reason why), and making time for activities that bring you joy and fulfillment.  

Prioritising yourself in 2024 means recognising your own needs and making them a top priority. It means taking the time to rest, recharge, and rejuvenate so that you can show up as the best version of yourself in all aspects of your life. 

It may require making difficult decisions and setting clear boundaries with others, which will make some people around you uncomfortable and even a little mid mad and cause some push back initially but those that care about you deeply will get it AND the result will be a more balanced and fulfilling life for you. Remember, you cannot pour from an empty cup. By prioritising yourself, you are better able to show up for those around you.  

So, in 2024, make a commitment to yourself to prioritise your own well-being. Whether it is through meditation, exercise, hobbies, or simply taking time for yourself, make sure to put yourself first. Your future self will thank you for it.
